WINDOWS 7 FREEZES DURING STARTUP...

The one of the problem with windows 7 is sometime it freezes during start-up.The windows boot to logon screen but freezes there showing only LOGO of windows.( i.e. you will see 4 little colored balls in the center of the screen ).Even when you wait for quite great time,then also it loads mouse pointer and a black screen only and freezes.
Even under safe mode it freezes at the Classpnp.sys file.
If even u try to repair or install new fresh copy of windows os  with windows installation disc then also it loads really slow and restart showing unmountable  volume error.


To fix this problem there are two methods.


METHOD 1::


STEP 1:Remove the battery and ac adapter.


STEP 2:Push the power button for approximately 15 seconds.


STEP 3:Reinsert the battery and try to restart it.


IF THE ABOVE METHOD DOESN'T WORK GOOD THEN TRY THE 2 METHOD.


METHOD 2::


 You need to have an UBUNTU/OTHER LINUX installation disc.(having option  of erasing disc while installation)


// Your system might be working really slow before installing UBUNTU (my system had taken about 2 hrs to reach the option of erasing whole disc) but once it get installed the system starts at proper speed


STEP 1:Insert the UBUNTU INSTALLATION DISC and restart.
//
NOTE: To save ur data,first run ubuntu from disk by booting from disc and selecting "TRY UBUNTU WITHOUT ANY CHANGE TO YOUR COMPUTER."

and go to PLACES->COMPUTER-->FILE SYSTEM TO ACCESS UR DRIVES and create backup in other disc,usb,computer system..//


STEP 2:Boot from disc(you can also use bootable usb)
 and select option Install UBUNTU

STEP3:Select language ,regions and keyboard layout as per ur choice but u need to select ERASE AND USE THE ENTIRE DISC when asked about .

And install Ubuntu on your system.


NOW after it,u can easily install a fresh copy of windows without any difficulty and errors.

SHIFT + > or SHIFT + < doesn't work in windows 7

The one of the common reasons behind these types of problems is your default keyboard input language.


To fix this, Follow these steps.


STEP 1:  Open Control panel and click on change keyboards and other input methods under                  clock ,languages and region .

// If  ur selected view is View by Large icons or Small icons Click on Regions and Languages.


STEP 2: Click on Keyboards and Languages tab in initiated new window.

Now click on Change keyboards...

Here select English(United States -US) from drop-down and click on Apply and then OK.

//If u can't find it in drop-down add it by clicking on Add... button 

And scroll there to find the Language.Double click on English(United states ) to expand it and click on checkbox associated with the particular language and click OK//

How to unreveal windows 7 hidden themes and wallpapers

During installation of Windows 7, it asks for your language, time and currency. Based on your selection, it installs a set of wallpapers and themes.

for example if you choose English (Australia) for your time and currency format, the default theme for AUSTRALIA get initialized and all other remains  hidden. 

Normally , u can't use those hidden themes and wallpapers but u can easily use them with these simple steps. 

STEP 1: In the search box in the Start menu, type C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and press Enter. 

// If Windows 7 is installed in a drive other than C: , use that letter instead.

STEP 2: This will navigate u to a folder containing a list of sub folders as 

Each sub folder has wallpapers and themes for a specific country: AU for Australia, CA for Canada, GB for Great Britain, US for the United States, and ZA for South Africa.

STEP 3: To install these country's theme just double click on that. This will launch a new folder having sub folders named as RSSFeed , Themes ,country's name(as AUSTRALIA).

The sub folder named as AUSTRALIA contains wallpapers of particular themes and folder named as THEME contains the theme for that.

STEP 4: Now to install theme,just navigate to Theme folder and open it .Now double click on file present there. This will install the particular theme.

U can easily customize this theme from here with the help of different options present as Windows color,Sounds,etc

FIX ACCIDENTLY CHANGED DEFAULT PROGRAM TO OPEN .EXE and OTHER FILES

SOMETIMES WE ACCIDENTLY CLICK ON OPEN WITH abc FOR ANY .EXE FILES THEN  IN THAT CASE ALL .EXE FILES JUST TRY TO GET RUN THROUGH abc PROGRAM BUT FAILs

When we use the Open With dialog to associate .exe files with another application, the settings are stored in the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts \ .exe \ UserChoice

There is a value named Progid in the right pane. The Progid data contains the application's exe file name (Applications\Notepad.exe or a Programatic Identifier such as txtfile, etc).

Similarly for other files like ".123" , the settings will get stored at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts \ .123 \ UserChoice

TO reach there just open cmd and type regedit ,press enter and follow the path specified above.

To fix the problem, you just need to delete the UserChoice key.


//NOTE: If you can't open "regedit", press CTRL+ALT+DEL keys and open "Task Manager". Now click on "File" menu and hold down the "CTRL" key and click on "New Task" menu. It'll open a Command Prompt window. Now provide regedit.exe command and press Enter. It'll open regedit without any problem.  or check last option of following article

By default, Windows block adult content but if you want to block some specific website you can add them under advance settings.

CREATING USB BOOTABLE WINDOWS 7

These instructions assume that you have a computer with Windows Vista/WINDOWS 7 installed.

TO MAKE A USB BOOTABLE JUST FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS

Step 1: Format the Drive

Its better to use command line to format ur disk properly.

Plug in your USB Flash Drive

1. Open the cmd in ADMINISTRATOR mode.
2. Now use following commands to select ur disk.

   assuming that ur disk is labelled as disk 1.
4. select disk 1

Step 2: Make the Drive Bootable

Next we’ll use the bootsect utility that comes on the Vista or Windows 7 disk to make the flash drive bootable.

1. Insert your Windows Vista / 7 DVD into your drive.
2. Change directory to the DVD’s boot directory where bootsect lives:
3. Assuming ur DVD drive be labelled as g:
   g:
   
   cd g:\boot
4. Use bootsect to set the USB as a bootable NTFS drive prepared for a Vista/7 image. Assuming that your USB flash drive has been labeled disk K:
   
   bootsect /nt60 k:
5. You can now close the command prompt window, we’re done here.

Step 3: Copy all the data of installation DVD to ur usb disk

Use windows explorer or any other utility to do the same.
Step 4: Set your BIOS to boot from USB

While booting set boot option as removable disk.

JOIN TWO FILES INTO ONE.

First thing u need to do is to save files into same folder .

Now let name of one file be avi.jpeg and name of second file be 21961.bat and u want to merge them in 1 file named avinash.jpeg

then steps will be

Can u create folders with name like con, prn, nul, com1 to com9 and lpt1 to lpt9 ?

The answer is yes but it can't be done in usual way b'coz these all denotes windows reserved keywords .Back in the older times of DOS these names denotes devices. CON meant console. As in one system you can't have two consoles that why you can't create it! same way with COM, LPT ...

So to create it just follow these steps:-----

• Go to directory where u want to create this folder named con.

u r done now and ur folder with name con is created in ur wished directory.

DETAIL DISK

Use this command to get additional information of selected disk.

Use the command to set the selected partition to "active." This setting informs the firmware that the partition is a valid system partition.

CLEAN[all]

If you specify the all parameter, each and every sector can be zeroed, and all data that is contained on the drive can be deleted.

RESCAN

Use the command to rescan all I/O buses and cause any new disks that have been added to the computer to be discovered.
